After a continuous day and night of snow, rain, thunder and wind things finally calmed down for the Northeast. This storm left behind 6-18 inches of snow from Virginia to Maine, with some higher amounts across parts of New England. All DC airports are open today but NYC airports are closed.
Some say this was the heaviest four inches of snow they have ever plowed. Cars, buses and trucks were stuck on the side of the road. One DC man said. “my car got stuck on the road so someone had to help me out. Then all the exits were blocked on 66 so I walked the rest of the way home. It took me eight hours to get home from work, next time I will spend the night in a hotel.”
